ok. i have black hair with so many greys..been using chemical dyes
eversince, and now my hair is thinning. i hate it! i finally hennaed
myself for the first time (using body art quality henna). and no
doubt about the softness and shine it can give your hair. my only
problem is im not that comfortable with red tones. i know henna will
always give u some red tones but id be really glad if it falls more
to dark red-but-more-brownish to dark brown to black. i used brewed
coffee with my mix..and still its too reddish for me. i waited for
days (like what i learned ftom this site) to tone down the color.
then hennaed again (since i also learned that itll be darker
everytime you coat your hair). now its a bit dark red..my greys are
darkorange-reddish. i cant wait for them to blend in. i know that im
still on my "experimental" stage, so theres yet too much to do and
observe. id probably henna again soon.

well..why am i posting?...cuz im thinkin about using indigo. sumwhere
in this site, it was said that mixing indigo and henna in ur mix
makes the the result more lasting, as opposed to putting indigo over
hennaed hair (where the indigo fades out quickly). any thoughts about
this? ..and if i put indigo in the mix, will i still see the dye
release from henna??...do i have to make the henna mix first then put
the indigo later(since henna takes more time to release dye than
indigo) and one more thing..now, my hair is dark dark red, and the
greys are darkorange-red, if i use the indigo-henna mix..will it even
out the color immediately? or i still need to do it again and again?

id be really glad to hear from u guys. this site is so helpful. im
just glad that i finally found the alternative to chemical dyes..it
really sucks!!.. i cant wait to achieve the color im looking for and
for my greys to blend in! guess theres still too much to learn!
thanks! more power to henna!
