henna and dark brown hair

I was wondering if any dark brunettes out there could tell me how
their henna has come out on their hair, how many applications it
took for it to become its most noticible, etc. I'm waiting for my
dyed hair to grow out but I want to enjoy hennaed hair vicariously
though others! I have naturally dark brown hair, and just wanted to
compare.
