Henna in Vegetarian TimesPosted by Monica Tittle on April 11, 2004 at 23:36:45: There was an article about natural hair products and of course theygot the stuff about henna wrong. They said it was temporary (they actuallly said it will wash out in 5 weeks) because the henna just sits on top of the hair unlike chemical dye which bonds with the hair. They also said that it didn't work on grey hair. They advised people with a lot of grey to add "two tablespoons of vinegar to your henna mixture" because "the added acidity will help the color to better adhere to your hair." The "expert" they used for the article was a Tourles who obviously doesn't know dick about real henna. Obviously, they got a letter from me pointing them right here and next door for some real information, not that halfway stuff they obviously didn't check out before publishing.
