henna and indigo..how?

hi peeps! i hennaed my hair twice, and still want to get darker(somewhere from dark dark brown to black). i just received my indigo
from Catherine (thanks Catherine!). somewhere in the forum..i learned
that mixing indigo and henna would cause the indigo to stay longer,
than putting indigo over hennaed hair. is this true??..
if so...how am i going to do this? im a bit confused. do henna and
indigo release dye at the same time? should i wait for the dye
release of the henna first before mixing the indigo?
