indigo trace added

I added a trace (2 scant tsp.) of indigo sample powder to the henna,
clove powder mixture that I used to dye my hair. I also made a warm
gelled mixture of liquids including Blackberry wine, lemon juice and
water using one of Fria's gelled mixtures ideas. I waited until the
pectin liquids cooled to 100 degrees F. before adding them to the
powders. They were in an approximate 3/2 ratio liquids to dry
powders (3 cups liquid to 2 cups dry powder). The indigo added (I
believe) caused the gelled mixture to turn a drab olive green color
almost immediately when dry powder and warm liquids were finally
mixed. At least, I supposed that it was the trace indigo powder
used that caused the immediate color change? So therefore I couldn't
notice dye release from the henna powder without putting on a white
paper towel which then did show a faint orange outline when supposed
dye release happened. My question then is: could adding indigo at
the very beginning affect or change the dye release pattern of the
henna powder? Thanks.
