Re: Question for Fia...Posted by Tracey on January 25, 2004 at 19:00:00: In reply to: Question for Fia... posted by Deborah on January 25, 2004 at 13:30:33: I've been doing the same thing, but without really knowing if itwas "OK" or not - washing my hair every 3rd day or so, and using conditioner everyday. My hair was seriously crispy and dry when I gave up chemical dyes. I've always had dry hair, but dying made it frizzy and hay-like. Since using henna the past 5-6 months, my hair has become shiny, soft, and is no longer dry. In fact, this morning - the ultimate test...I bought a Bio-Amla shampoo at the Indian grocery which makes my hair even softer, so I skipped conditioner. I haven't been able to do that since...well, never! And my hair is bouncy, soft and shiny - my husband caught me ogling myself in the mirror about 5 times today! LOL : Fia, : I looked at your photos, your hair is lovely! In one of your : entries, you mentioned using "conditioner-only" as your hair care. I : wasn't sure that I read that right, do you not use shampoo? What was : it that led you to this? Is it healthier? Does your hair and scalp : get clean? I have dry hair and only wash it every second or third : day and use serious conditioners for dry and brittle hair so this is : very interesting to me. Would you mind expounding on this for me? : : Also, I just recently had my hair hennaed for the first time, it is : absolutely lovely! Will a conditioner made for "dry, color- treated : hair" be safe over hennaed hair? I'm assuming that it is just for : very dry hair. : : Thanks! : Deborah
