Though, I highly doubt she achieved hers with henna. : I didn't get a chance to chat w/her about it...but..I HIGHLY doubt : it came from henna. Maaaaaaan I told hubby "ok now I can't do that : one, I'd be like a copy cat...no fair!" LOL So, uh, back to the : mixing board ?? Need more plum!! Darker! More plum!! More purple!! : More burgundy! : How might I get that on my dark brown hair? Suggestions? Even : possible? : : ~Tara~ Ooh, I'm so glad you started a new thread! So funny I was going to post one too "looking for more burgundy"! I've been collecting my newly "orange" hair (lol, its really quite pretty), and I'm ready to start messing around with the colour again... I see in Fia's mixes section that she recommends grape juice for a bluer red, and red wine for a chestnut brown. I got the grape juice but I am skeptical because its actually a lighter purple than the red wine I used. I'd be curious to try beetroot, but where to find beetroot powder I dunno. I take inspiration from Elektra's mix; I love the colour, especially since she says she started with a dark blonde which gives hope for those of us starting with a lighter colour. I essentially copied her mix when I did mine however realistically I have to deal with the fact that I was starting out already red AND I think the big difference has to be that she uses an indigo mix in with the henna. Now I have to confess to not having been paying attention in class when it comes to indigo!! So its back to the drawing board for me. I have a sneaky confession to make --- since we have a kind of religious theme going here, seems appropriate -- I have even been toying with the idea of...using a commercial henna mix that says "burgundy" on the box...I KNOW!!! what am I saying? I like my new hair, but I really was not cut out to be an orangey redhead, the rest of my colouring is too "cool". So I'm off in search of burgundy!
