can henna be used on hair treated with permanent hair color

can henna be used on hair colored with permanent hair color like
loreal preference. i have colored my hair with loreal preference
about 5 to 6 weeks back and also i have colored my hair only once.
can i use henna now ?????? will it cause any damage? please reply as
i have some horrible grey hair which i want to cover.thank you in
advance.
