Ground cloves are easy to find, luckily ( some of the other things
used in mixes not as readily!) People use ground cloves in baking; so
the aisle in the supermarket will have them.
Elettaria is right, though, usually you get a dinky little bottle,
and pay more in the supermarket. I get mine in larger packets from
the health/herbal shop.

I used cloves in my mix to a proportion of roughly 1 part clove to 5
parts henna. That was just my experimenting, I'm sure you could use
quite a bit more. I love the smell of cloves; I don't know if I got
much more colour out of them but I appreciated the smell!
