Amla for lighter hair?

I want to use Indian herbs to take care of my hair. But I have read
that Amla (gooseberry) can darken greys. I have strawberry blonde
hair. Do I need to be concerned about this herb darkening my hair?
Or turning it ashy? Does anyone know much about this? Thanks in
