I really don't mind the smell at all, when it is freshly mixed and
going on my head. I think its just a fresh herby smell; in fact I
prefer it on its own than when terped with EO's.
My only problem with the smell is the 2 weeks later lingering
slightly henna/slightly wet dog-gy smell when I wet my head to wash
it!
