I used cassia obovata on my mother's hair. I mixed it liquied poured
from simmered chamomile and a little turmeric, and lemon juice. She
left it on an hour. There was no color change but the texture changed
from "post dye straw" (50 years of hair dye) to soft like a little
child's.
I'm sure longer wouldn't hurt. Don't know if it would help.
