When mixed with a small amount of water, henna looks like greenish
mud. When mixed with a lot of water (like when I spilled a tiny bit
of henna powder on my kitchen floor and went to wipe it up with a wet
sponge), it makes a greenish liquid. But anything dyeable that the
greenish mixture touches will be dyed reddish. I haven't ordered any
samples from the distributors on this website, but I know that Henna
For Hair is committed to providing suppliers that sell only pure and
safe products. I've never heard anything about green dyes being added
to henna. I suspect the green you're concerned about is just the
natural color of the henna pigment itself. If you're worried it might
dye your hair green, do a test on a small lock of hair, and see for
yourself. I bet it turns out reddish.

Good luck!
