A cautionary tale!
A few years back, when I was more innocent, I decided to see if I
could save money by dying my hair with some cheap cheap henna ($2 per
box) from my grocery store. I knew that it was far to stale to be
used for hands, but I thought "what the heck", hoping to save some
money. When I got it home the first thing I noticed was the chemicaly
smell from all the green dye that had been added to it, and when I
mixed it up It was sour apple candy green. I let it sit for 2days ,
wanting to get the most dye out of it possible before putting it on
my head. It dyed my gloves and container green as well as my plastic
spatula...bleah! and after three hours it had acomplished a weak
gingery orange. disappointing indeed! If it seems too good to be
true..it is.
Don't be miserly when it comes to your hair, use the good stuff!
