I saw your post further down, pondering grape juice and purple/burgundy hues.
Maybe we can work together :) I'm on the same quest, to purple-down my orange, I'd
rather have something closer to burgundy.

Yesterday I did my hair for the 2nd time and added 1/4 c. indigo and ~1 oz (?)
beetroot to the henna. When I added the indigo and beetroot I used about 1.5 cups
of grape juice. My grape juice was "120% USRDA of vitamin C" which means they
added vit C to it, so it was plenty acidic, I'm sure. The prepped the henna overnight
in lemon juice, but in the end the mixture was probably more grape juice than lemon
juice.

However, I didn't get much of a different color than the first time ~ it does seem a bit
deeper, but like someone (was it you? I'm getting all these posts mixed up) said, that
might just be because it was my 2nd time.

I probably won't henna again for a month or so -- I can't keep doing this ever 1.5
weeks, LOL! But next time I am pondering adding a lot more beet root and upping
the indigo - maybe 1/3 henna, 1/3 beet root, 1/3 indigo? And seeing what happens. I
suppose if I were smart I'd do some sample tests, but ... I'm not sure if I will.

But if I hit on something that really works, I'll let you know!
:-)
