Hi Kim!
Well it definitely looks different, but I can see what you mean --
its deeper but not really red/purple-er, lol. I think it looks
beautiful, and the really orangey brightness seems gone. But I guess
if burgundy was the goal it isn't quite there yet.

I get confused. Indigo is supposedly what Light Mountain uses in
its "shades" for the browner tones. So it makes me think that whilst
it provides a darkening effect, its not necessarily a blue effect.
Logona's shades have indigo and a whole bunch of other botanical
stuff in them. I got a sample of their "Mahogany"(has indigo) and
result: orangey red. Also "Walnut brown"; result: more browny ORANGEY
RED. I tried "chestnut"; and you guessed it: VERY ORANGEY RED. Sigh...

You know what? I am liking orangey red more all the time. I had red
hair to begin with; it was made up of copper highlights, auburny
brown and golden strands. It didn't have any purple in there at all,
heh heh. I am spending more time these days checking out red hair on
people (I live in Ireland so thats not hard to do) and natural red
hair is always in the orange-brown spectrum. These burgundy and plum
shades are beautiful, but they're not natural...
I'm getting close to giving up on the burgundy. I'll be darned if I'm
going to resort to Loving Care so I guess that's it!

Oh, btw, on a positive note, I have heard that over many years of
henna use you eventually achieve something like dark purple! Neat,
huh?
