O/T I know, but...relaxers?

My sis emailed me yesterday mentioning that she was going to try a
relaxer on her hair Eeek! I emailed her back urging her not to use
the chemicals..that I would look into 'natural remedies' for her.
So..any ideas? Is there anything to try that you know of? This may
be far fetched, I realize that, but, it was worth looking into
anyhow. For her hair's sak ;-)
