I shampoo my hair every 3 days, same as I did before I hennaed.
After a fresh hennaing my hair has extra bright red highlights that
fade after a few washings. Then it seems to level out and stop
fading. I usually don't henna it again until I pause in front of a
mirror long enough to notice half an inch of roots.
