What about beets??

I am on the hunt for the perfect henna color for my mom - she has
dark ash blonde (I call it light ash brown) with some gray. virgin
hair. she wants PINK and she wants me to do it with henna. (!) I
have tried and tried to convince her that henna is only orange, red
or some combination thereof, but she thinks that Im a magician or
something and can produce a pink-red. burgundy-ish. Im currently
strand-testing with some *burgundy* henna. (not body grade)

but what about beets? They have a gorgeous pinky purple color that
stains *me* pretty well, but would they have any power to stain
hair?? Has anyone tried a henna mix with pulverized beets/beet
juice? and would (homemade) canned or frozen beets work or is their
composition damaged by the canning/freezing process?

Any and all advice welcome!!
