I didn't try the unsifted; I was curious about that myself. No reason
to believe it wouldn't be perfectly alright for hair, if just that
bit harder to rinse out, maybe?...

I tried the yemen, jamila and their "own brand" moroccan and got
really good pretty much identical results with all of them. I found
the yemen texture very interesting, it automatically got my alarm
bells ringing (this is weird, is there something else in here?) I
thought it would be quite interesting to do hair with since its a
more clingy, almost gel-like consistency. HOPE there's no mystery
ingredient in there...
