"Stringy" henna?Posted by Diane on May 29, 2004 at 17:27:05: I was just talking to Elettaria about this on another thread. I triedsome Yemen henna that the supplier refers to as "stringy" henna; supposed to be excellent for draping long lines and geometric patterns. I got a sample of it and found it does mix up differently to other types, more gel-like in texture, sort of clings to itself...I thought it would be nice to use on hair. Does anyone think there would be any other ingredient or component causing that texture? Is this just a natural occurence, and why would henna from yemen necessarily be any different? Different strain of plant? Just curious. It was noticably different to the other samples I tried and it got me wondering.
