I think I would just use omit the lemon juice and just use red wine (that is acidic enough to release the dye, isn't it) and contine with the cloves and add coffee. Tell me - are you supposed to add brewed coffe or coffee grounds or both? Does coffee really work to darken the red? Thank you!!
