I just hennaed yesterday!

Henna basically stains your hair. It doesn't make it lighter or
darker than it is. If your hair is dark brown, for example, using
henna can either make it dark auburn with really noticeable red
highlights in the sun... or it can give it a more subtle red tinge
that is only visible in bright light. I don't know about how much of
what will do what exactly.

Any veterans to henna want to contribute?
