cutch (Acacia catechu)--brown dye

Does anyone have any experience dyeing hair with cutch (Acacia
catechu) perhaps as an additive to a henna mix for a more brown tone?
I'd love to hear of any experiences and if you know of any negative
effects of cutch. I know it has been used a lot with fabrics, but I
am curious as to how well it works on hair. Any thoughts?
