I have a hard time believing that henna would cause hair loss or thinning hair. Hair
loss can be caused by a number of factors - a non-exhaustive list would include:

- Genetic predisposal (most commonly seen in male pattern baldness - but the same
phenomena can also be seen in some women)
- Autoimmune causes (alopecia - generalized or localized)
- Pro-longed stress
- Pulling back hair tighly in updos over a period of time (traction alopecia - common
in people of color who cornrow their hair, but also in women always pulling back hair
is a tight bun or braid)
- Seasonal shedding - most people are like animals - loose more hair in spring and
fall
