I'm trying to figure out how much henna i'm going to need to cover my
shoulderblade-length locks. I think I might just buy a kilo of Jamila
so that I have plenty to experiment with. That way I can do two tests-
one standard mix with the actual henna paste, and the other with the
gelled and strained mix Fia posted, and still have enough left over
to use the best method on my whole head.

: I think it's going to take some doing. I really want to henna mine,
: but like Alison said, I'm worried that I won't be able to get all
the
: henna particles out of my dreads. I might try the method that Fia
: told me about a little ways down the page. If I do, i'll definitely
: report the results here.
