Cassia obovata -- What dangerous additives could be added to it, since it's not for hair coloring?

I was thinking about the cassia obovata and wondering: Since it's
not meant to color the hair, does that mean that it's safe to buy it
from any source, since there would be no reason for any company to
add hidden dyes? Does this question make sense?????

By the way, I want to thank everyone who's answering the many
questions that I've been sending -- I don't always have access to a
computer so my thanks to you guys are late, but I do appreciate every
word in your answers!!!!
