The highlights faded, and I decided that I wanted to henna my hair a : dark brown/black. So I did, using Logona. This gave me an interesting dark brown/ : black, yet green/blue where the highlights were. Unexpected, and uninvited, I delt : with it. It's about half a year later, and now the black-brown is all gone, yet I still have : an annoying and unflattering greenish tinge to my hair! I want to get rid of it : somehow, and I was wondering... : : Can I henna it AGAIN using a reddish brown? Will the green go away? I have very fine : hair, slightly past my shoulders... Is there any chance that the umber brown will stick : to my hair, covering the green? : : Thanks! I know that Logona "colours" do come with the disclaimer that they can add a greenish hue to certain shades of hair. I'm sure that any of the darker shades will have a certain proportion of indigo in them which could do it, also I believe they state that it is caused by the chlorophyll content, which in my mind simply means the stuff that occurs in leaves! Which, as Logona is a herbal dye makes sense. At any rate I have seen several threads here mentioning the same thing, and the consensus seems to be that going over the hair with plain body art henna will eliminate the green quite nicely; however you have to be prepared to go red (to some degree). I think if I were you, I'd consider going for some 100% henna from one of the suppliers here, and experiment with harvest tests to see what kind of colour you get. I don't think its worth going back to ne of the Logona shades as you run the risk of getting more green (all of the "shades" are going to have some proportion of indigo or other botanicals, except "red") and if you go for red, then skip the Logona and go straight for the pure stuff. If you can handle being a redhead at least the green will go! Good luck with it!
