That's certainly a possibity. If I were writing a paper on the topic,I"d approach it from 3 possiblities .... 1) henna over nearly black
hair (taking into account the proportions of hair color across the
population) 2) henna and indigo over brown hair (and ditto) 3) henna
and indigo on any color of hair that's faded out a bit.
I"d probably make the case that any of the 3 are possible.
