freezing indigoPosted by Pam F. on July 7, 2004 at 14:23:57: I have a book written by Rita Buchanan called "A Dyer's Garden".She says that she uses the leaves of the plants that dye in the blue color ranges (woad, indigo, etc.) immediately; that the leaves can't be stored in the freezer like you can other dye plants or it reduces their dying abilities. I was wondering if storing the indigo powder (that I bought here) in the freezer would reduce the powders ability to dye? I did read something more specifically about this (as applies to freezing the leaves of indigo type plants) on the internet when I was researching the subject of dyes but now I can't find it.
