will henna & indigo really work? YES!Posted by Catherine Cartwright-Jones on February 2, 2004 at 22:38:38: In reply to: will henna & indigo really work? posted by Mike on February 2, 2004 at 22:04:41: : I have been looking for a black hair dye for a long time. I am: allergic to every hair dye on the market. If I use commercial hair : dye, my skin develops a bad rash, and gets very swollen. : : The process does seem a bit long though. Can I do this by myself? You're allergic to every hair dye on the market because you're allergic to PPD ... and some form of that is in virtually every hair dye. Yes, indeedie, henna and indigo DOES dye your hair black! If you hair is short, you can manage it by yourself. If not, get a friend to help you. Harvest hair from your hairbrush, or from the shower drain, and get some samples from the sample section. Try it. Yes, the process is messy and prolonged .. but ..... its safe and it works and when you get it done, your hair is absolutely jet black, blue black, and gorgeous. People in the Middle East and North Africa have done it this way for at least 6000 years. It DOES WORK.
