I want to take the plunge . . .Help me!!!!!!!!

Hi! I'm hoping you can give me the courage to try and henna myhair!! For years I dyed my hair with a product used at a local salon
. . . . when I say years I mean at least 6 years. I was always
trying to get that "perfect" shade of red and never got it. When I
became pregnant with my second child I stopped dying my hair. That
was 16 months ago. Now I want red again but henna has me a little
worried because I don't want orangy or Bozo red. U just want a nice
rich red. . . . something kinda natural looking. Now my hair is
brown. Just icky brown. I have read about mixing things in with the
henna to get this color or that but lets face it, I'm a terrible cook
and this is like following a recipe so that is where I need your
help. What and how much of it do I mix in with the henna to get the
color I want. I want red . . . .but not too bright and not too
auburn. What would you recommend I do? Any help would be great
before I order and take on this new adventure.
