Hannah, that isn't in the instructions per se. I got the idea from
this page and from posts by Kim in MI. I think that she is on
the "Mixes" page though. You may or may not get the darker look by
applying the indigo a week after henna. Just try it and see. I got
my Walnut powder from Amy on Castle Art on the Suppliers page here.
It was only $7.00 for something like a lb. or so (can't remember
though). You only use a little at a time mixed with the henna
after you see a light dye release from the henna first. She sent
those instructions with the Walnut powder. If you are allergic to
nuts of any kind, don't use walnut powder though, as you would be
allergic to it as well.
