I doubt strongly that they are : : henna at all, as they only come in brown. Metallic salt, or : : compound, hennas are believed to be the reasoning behind not dying : : hair that has been hennaed: they react badly with hair dye. For : your : : own safety, don't use hennalucent over your hair (which you said : was : : previously highlighted). : : : : FYI - My Bark Brown Sally's box of hennalucent says 100% organic, NO : METALLIC SALTS, safe for chemically treated hair. No ingredients list : any where on the packaging. I bought it while I was impatiently : waiting for the real henna to arrive. I mixed it with hot water as : per directions and ran a test on a highlightedted test strand with : lots of grey. It did nothing except maybe condition- no change of : color on highlights, grey, or natural brown color. I never put it on : my head due to Catherine's quick delivery of the real stuff and all : the warnings on this great site. In my boredom I also real hennaed : overed it and no nasty reaction, it looked like all the other henna : samples. : : Don't think much of it but at least Hennalucent may have changed : their formula so as not to give real Henna a bad reputuation. I did an ingredient search for them online a few months back, and they had some nasty metallic salts in there. If they've changed since, good, but they're still not henna.
