Plum juice mixed with henna

I haven't received my henna (soon, I hope) but I steamed a bunch of
plums tonight to make baby food for my babe. After they steamed I
noticed the water came out a really neat shade of pinky/red. I saved
it and was wondering if I could use it to mix up my henna. My only
fear is that it may cause my hair to be more pink than red because
the plum juice is more pink. Does anyone have an imput on this?
Should I just not use the juice to avoid any pink cast to my hair? I
also thought of adding some cloves to the plum juice when I mix up my
henna for more red. What do you ladies think?
