Mix up just a little, a couple of spoonfuls of henna (depending on howlong your hair is), and put that on a strand for however long you
think you'll need. See how that turns out, and if it's not quite what
you want, say not deep enough, you can try again. No point in going
through all the hassle of hennaing without testing, washing it off,
and then realising you should have left it on for longer!
The other reason for mixing up a little for the strand test is so that
if you want to play with adding other ingredients, you can.
