You could mix indigo with your henna for a cooler effect. My hair is black and I am still rather new at this. My last results were mixed as far as my satisfaction. I also have greying hair. I used henna and then the remains of some Rainbow "Black" henna. It is not really black henna, but rather doctored indigo. I should throw it out, but I hate to be wasteful. What I got was a black red color. I guess it is black cherry or very dark auburn. It's hard to explain, but the grey looks very natural in it. They are definatly streaks of auburn. The color is beautiful, but I am a winter with soft black hair so I am not sure it looks natural on me. I ordered some good quality indigo from here and I will take it back to black, but I have to admit, the color is growing on me! As each day passes it becomes darker (eight days now), so I just don't know for sure which way I will go. Meg
