first henna

Hello. I henna-ed my hair for the first time last night with red
henna, over highlights that I'd had done a month or two ago and it's
gone a ginger/orange kind of colour which I like. I have a few
questions about henna and you all seem to know a lot about it. Is it
permanent? If I used it again would it go a deeper colour or would
there not be much of a difference? Bye.
