: Ok, long story short: I have med. brown hair, I want it BLACK and
: when the sun hits it, I want it to have burgundy high lights. I
: used Logona "henna black" and it worked fine. Now I was going to
: order 200g henna and 100g of indigo (from Catherine of course) mix
: them together with lemon juice and coffee and apply it all at once.
: But now I think that it wont be as black as I'd like, so now I think
: I should to order 200g indigo and 100g henna and mix all in one
: application. My hair goes a few inches past my shoulders (so I need
: 300g total of either henna or indigo)and I dont have the funds right
: now to dye it with henna first then buy a bunch of indigo and dye
: again with that. So should I order more of indigo, or more of the
: henna? THANX!

If you can swing it I'd order 200g indigo and 200g henna and do some
tests on harvested or clipped hair. My guess having recently used a
mix of Catherine's henna and indigo would be about 50/50 as a good
place to start testing. You can freeze the powder you don't use.

Skip the coffee so you can leave it on your head as long (deeper
color) as possible without caffeine seeping into your scalp. Remember
your hair gets darker after the oxidation runs its course.

Take some before and after pictures for the mix page and you can get
what you need for your next henna free.
