It works WONDERS on getting that goo out. But you do have to condition- it strips every little bit of your hair's natural oil. If I were to do that today, being the hippy I have grown into, I would positively use a natural dish soap and Jojoba oil to condition. Most dish soaps use sodium lauryl sulfate- a normal cleaning agent which is very rough on hair and skin but does wonders to the soap scum in my tub. I have since sworn off SLS in my shampoos and usualy resort to the coconut based SLS for cleaners. Will it work for hair dye? Possibly. I have never used it for such- I can only vouch for its ability to get out layers of hairspray required for a play or 80's hair. : : Anyway, I've been reading these postings and just found this on : another site. Someone said they used VO5 hot oil treatment and then : dish soap 2 days in a row and was able to remove black hair dye. If : this is true and safe (as it seems) I think I'd have a better starting : point for the henna plunge. : : Anyone heard of this? Tried it? Or have any thoughts? :
