Hello all, I have been henna`ing mine and others body parts since 96
and am a total HP junkie however this is my first trip into hair
henna. Im not looking for a huge color change but mainly to improve
the condition of my hair. Ive been letting it grow and its past my
shoulders now. Mostly chestnut underneath with old blonde streaks on
the top layers which have grown out considerably so Im feeling a
little dull but I really dont want to go back to nasty chemicals
which really fry my hair. So I read through this site a bit and
decided to see what I could come up with. I have lots of different
hennas in my freezer all good body quality but I really dont want so
much color. I have some that a friend brought me from Egypt which
when tested on my skin stained very poorly. So I steeped some
chamomile tea splashed in some lemon juice and dumped in about
75grams of the crummy henna. Its quite soupy. Im going to let it sit
for the day and was thinking of mixing in a blob of conditioner this
evening and then trying it out...? Any suggestions about how long to
leave it on just for a good rinse? Maybe I should separate the blonde
so it doesnt sit too long on those sections and turn me pink or do
you think I have diluted it enough where that is a not a worry? I
think I will test a small area before I go for the whole head but any
advice would be great. Im definitely going to get some cassia obovata
but I am feeling ansty and thought I would give this a shot. Thanks!
Sorry for the long ass post.
Lily
