It's not henna at all.........Posted by Meg on August 3, 2004 at 07:33:48: In reply to: Rainbow Henna posted by Vayanda on August 2, 2004 at 20:02:13: On it's on with out using henna first it does nothing. It won'tcover grey. I have black hair with a few grey, maybe thirty, hairs on top. I had been using Herbatint to cover the grey and it had grown out three inches. The Black Henna didn't even bring all of my black to one color. What it did do was make my hair shiny and soft for about a week. Then it was back to normal. Next I used body art henna powder and then the black henna, but I had to leave the black henna on for 2 hours. I got my natural color with no grey showing. It was perfect, but after three washings, it was just about all gone. The part that was on the chemically treated hair was still black, but the roots are cherry black with about thirty red streaks. It is pretty and looks natural, but it was not what I was after. I am trying henna plus indigo from Catherine today. If the indigo washes out again, then I will have to become content with cherry black hair with red streaks. I hope that answers your questions. Meg
