how do you keep dye off your face at night?

see- i leave my henna on over night under a shower cap and towel
turban. i always wake up the next morning with at least part of my
face an unattractive orange. i tried using petroleum jelly, but it
was just messy and didn't stay in place- i got orange patches
anyway. what do you guys do? thanx-
