Yess! Read all about it, ClarissaPosted by Jade on August 19, 2004 at 03:25:34: In reply to: question..will it be ok? posted by CLARISSA on August 18, 2004 at 16:30:02: Hi ClarissaI suggest cassiaing you hair after perming as it will replenish some lost moisture from the perm. Maybe not the day right after the perm, but at least a week later. But no doubt--cassia your hair. This will make your hair extra glossy, and it will even feel fuller. I don't see any danger doing this at all. ...It's too bad your appointment already happened though...Perms, Hair curlers, relaxers, straighteners and commercial dyes ALL contain harmful chemicals that damage the hair. Commercial hair dyes--even the ones that say "Natural" on the cover have Ammonia and/or hydrogen Peroxide--otherwise they wouldn't work. Ammonia and Hydrogen Peroxide work by lifting up the cuticle of the hair (the small scales that reflect light), and once they are opened, it's really easy for the hair to get dry, brittle. And it's also hard to get the hair to close again, thus, it reflects less light. (I know because it happened to me too). My new hair was actually thinner than the ones before dying with commercial dyes. Also, my hair growth rate slowed down (i could tell by counting the weeks it took for the new roots to appear). And the dyed hair felt like a bunch of hay. Not good. Instead, why don't you create beautiful natural colors & highlights using herbs and spices? Fia can show you how. her website is http://hennaforhair.com/mixes/annsophie/ She is a true kitchen wizard. Let me know how it goes! Jade : ok so i have a appointment tomorrow to get my hair permed...and i : wanted to cassia my hair tonight but not sure if i should ? will it : be ok if i did cassia my hair even tho i am gettin it permed : tomorrow will it harm my hair cause of the chemicals in the perm or : is it to soon?
