malabar spinach

Hi! I just wanted to say that the other day I stepped on a malabar
spinach vine (an annual vine in TX.) that left a dark bluish-purple
stain on the bottom of my foot that lasted several days. It was
very faint and I didn't try to work on it or anything. But I
thought that this might could be used as an additive somehow for
hair dying purposes. Has anyone ever worked with this plant
before. I get tons of volunteer plants in my yard of this...very
easy to grow!
