need suggestions/tips for better gray coverage

I have been using red henna (Light Mountain brand ) to color my hair
for about 8 years. Now that my hair has quite a bit of gray, the
color is less uniform -- the gray turns very orangey and there is a
noticeable difference in comparison to the hair that is not gray. Is
there anything I can do to get the gray hair to blend better with
the non-gray so that the color is more uniform? Any specific brands
which may be better than the one I have been using? Help!
