Unfortunately, yes....I'll try to post a pic of mine soon--I have med
brown hair that I used to chemically dye to a med auburn. Using the
henna makes my already red hair redder and just coats the darker
roots with red as they grow in. I'm okay with it, b/c it looks
pretty gradual to me (all of my greys are now red so it blends
well) :-) You may want to even out the whole head to close to your
base color before beginning to henna--that should help. If I could
do it again, that's what I would do.
