I shall turn 50 too, next year, and I like being this age. Not that I
am into the cult of youth-worship, but just recently , thinking
everybody knew my age, I casually mentioned it to a friend and her
thirteen-year-old daughter. Well, the latter age is noted for truth-
telling, if not tact; the young woman's eyes bulged,and she
shouted, 'Wow, I thought you were 'way younger than SHE is - I
thought you were maybe about 36.' So there you have it! And all this
before henna, too... wonder what she'll say if I manage to have hair
such as I see on this site!
