...left the henna on for seven hours. And no visible color results!
The shine is excellent, but I'm a bit disappointed.
All I had was a packet of Body Shop 'Extra Red' henna, several years
old, I might add. I followed the package directions - it simply says
to mix the powder with hot water, and apply to dry hair. This
procedure used to work well for me, so having a non-event -
especially after doing hairball/strand tests to make sure it wouldn't
be hideous - is a letdown.I might as well have used a neutral henna.
Do you think it happened because of the old henna, or is it me? Can
chemical residue prevent color from 'taking' at all? Also, if I use
up my remaining old packages, will that interfere with the effects of
good henna, once I obtain it?
Many thanks for your expertise, and I do hope I am not making a pest
of myself on this board - I am just excited about using henna, and
cannot imagine a better place to ask the necessary questions!
