Mumtaz is a fairly decent henna... it's not one of the brands that
has "colors"; it's just a basic henna, and you most likely are not
going to get colorwise what's on the box. I use it for both hair and
skin and as long as it's properly mixed/terped, it works just fine,
even on my previously mousy blonde hair.

I'd say definitely give it a go. It seemed to respond well to using
hibiscus/Red Zinger in the brew mix for my hair.

: : It is a Henna Powder from India. If you used it how was the
colour?
: : Thanks.

: Hi, Janie,
:
: How do you tell what color it is from the box? My Mumtaz has a
: picture of a woman on the front and a little stripe on the end of
the
: box - do you tell by the color of her braid and the stripe?
Otherwise
: the information is the same on both boxes; all that differs is her
: braid and the stripe. So I haven't dared use it, although I have
read
: that it is a fairly good brand. Thanks!
